Franky Denaeyer together with Climaworld, manufacturer of swimming pools and wellness areas, has created in Knokke, Belgium, a splendid home spa, which has been awarded with the 2016-2017 gold medal in the Wellness@Home category by the Belgian magazine Piscines Plus.

The project was overseen and followed by the Belgian architect Alexis Herbosch. This space offers everything one could desire in a home wellness area: indoor pool with the counter-current swimming system covered in mosaic tiles, a hot tub, an infrared Finnish sauna also covered in mosaic tiles.
Materials used:
The pool was waterproofed with Elastocem by Litokol and the Reviglass mosaic tesserae were glued and grouted with Starlike® in the colour Bianco Ghiaccio. For the wall covering of the room which encloses the entire wellness area, Starlike® was used in the Decor version, always in the same finish. Even the hot tub was glued and sealed with Starlike®, in this case using the colour Titanio. The oval niche placed on the hot tub was inspired by the works of the famous English sculptor Anish Kapoor. The entire area of the wellness area communicates with the rest of the house by means of e-SwimControl IoT home automation technology.
